MoreSouth looks for the best locally sourced produce which is freshly prepared and baked on site. We specialise in providing a Mediterranean style buffet within the London and Hertfordshire area for:

All orders can be adapted to either hors d’oevres or fork buffet options

Based just 5 minutes drive from Maylands Industrial Park, north of London, between the M1 and M25 – we became aware of  the needs of corporate organisations increasingly acknowledging the value of healthy food for the working day, which is freshly prepared by a local company. We  are members of ‘The Dacorum Green Business Club.’ Corporate social responsibilty comes through supporting local charities, and volunteering with ‘Connect Dacorum’ in West Herfordshire.

Locally sourced food

The sun shines in Hertfordshire too!  Our  allotment provides MoreSouth with organic salads and herbs. When a plot on a biodynamically farmed piece of land came up in Kings Langley, near our business, we jumped at the chance to grow our own greens.

The Story

MoreSouth began with a marriage of cultures which has brought together the colours and tastes of the Mediterranean.

Haim Attias was born in Casablanca. The eldest of eleven children he moved to Israel at the age of 8. After farming by the Red Sea mountains Haim ran a catering business and restaurant with an Italian friend on the rooftop of an art gallery in the Arab port of Jaffa.

Lisa, who had learned to cook in Switzerland, met Haim , and was soon adding to her culinary skills rolling couscous grains by hand with her new Moroccan mother-in-law.

For a decade the couple lived with their 3 children in the beauty of the Galilean Hills. With Spring came the first shoots of the za’atar herb and the scent of citrus blossoms; summers were spent living with the Bedouins in the Sinai desert; autumn brought the olive oil pressings.

The Vision

With the return to Lisa’s place of birth, the UK in 2004 came a wish to make community in the breaking of bread. With the warmth of the Mediterranean sun came the conviction that a bridge can be built between cultures. Whether kneading the morning dough, lighting the wood-fired pizza oven or preparing a mediterranean buffet feast MoreSouth celebrates the good fruits of the earth.

Terms and conditions
Corporate catering in Hertfordshire  (working lunch)

• Please allow 24 hours notice for a new order.
• Minimum orders may apply.
• Delivery is without charge in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and surrounding villages.
• We welcome monthly accounts, and payment can be made by cheque to ‘MoreSouth’ or bank transfer.

Event catering in Hertfordshire, surrounding counties
& North London

• A quotation is valid for 10 days.
• A non-refundable  10% deposit is required for booking.
• Service and table setting hire (crockery, cutlery and linen) is available at an added price.
• Numbers to be confirmed 14 days before the event. (A  lower number than the original may result in a  price rise per head.)
• Final payment is due 2 weeks before the event, (40%) and on the day (50%).
